Language Arts

What are we learning?

  • We are learning about the different types of figurative language like: Similes, Metaphor, Personification, and Hyperbole.
  • We are understanding that the use of literary techniques like figurative language can reveal images that enhance a message for the reader to interpret. 
  • We are writing non fiction pieces to convey our knowledge on a topic.

What are we learning?

      What are we learning?

      • We are beginning a new unit on the American Revolutionary War.  
      • We are learning that ideas and actions of people and groups have consequences and can shape events
      • We will make connections between the issues of dissatisfaction that led to the American Revolution and the political and economic relationships between the colonies and Great Britain.
      • We will describe and analyze how political ideas shaped the revolutionary movement in America and led to the Declaration of Independence.
