Language Arts

What are we learning?

  • Poets make deliberate choices about the conventions, techniques, and language they use in their writing
  • Readers determine the main ideas or the purposes of the text 
  • Learn language to report and describe information

  • Encourage students to share their poetry journals with you.

Math

What are we learning?

  • Represent multiplication and division in a variety of ways
  • Explore the relationship between multiplication and division
  • Identify, describe, create, and extend patterns found in objects, pictures, numbers and tables

  • Discuss equal groups in real life experiences
  • Describe how numbers can be divided equally in real life experiences
  • Discuss patterns in real life settings

AAP Math

What are we learning?

  • Begin to develop an understanding of decimal numbers 
  • Read, write, draw, show decimals to thousandths place
  • Round decimals to the nearest whole number
  • Compare and order decimals
