What are we learning?

We are continuing our unit on Matter. Students will be able to:

• Students have been learning about matter. There are 3 states of matter; liquid, solid and gas.

• -students will understand that matter has mass and takes up space.

  -solids, liquids, and gasses have different characteristics.

  -heating and cooling can change the phases of matter.

Social Studies

What are we learning?

• The student will compare the ideas and contributions of explorers Christopher Columbus and Christopher Newport and the impact on our world today
