- Use text features to help navigate through and better understand a nonfiction text
- Identify the main idea and text structure(s) when reading nonfiction texts

- Ask, what nonfiction books are you reading?
- Talk about the difference between fiction and nonfiction
- Have students share their “all about” nonfiction ideas and/or writing
Math
What are we learning?
- Identify and draw representations of points, lines, line segments, rays, and angles
- Define polygon
- Identify and name polygons with 10 or fewer sides

- Students will extend their knowledge of place value to numbers in the millions
