Art
Artists are drawing cicadas and other insects to prepare for the arrival of our red-eyed friends.
Music
- We are starting a new unit this week - Unit 11: Move It! We will be viewing dances from around the world, and discuss how music and movement are connected. Each group will be learning a simple (and socially distanced) dance to try in the classroom or at their virtual learning space.
- In-person classes will continue learning their performance pieces.
- 3rd - “Alpha 4” for body percussion & “Sakura” for xylophones and percussion
- 4th - “Big Turtle” for drum ensemble & “Sakura” for xylophones and percussion
- 5th & 6th - “Thump, Thump” for drum ensemble

We are working on our projects per grade level and students use their E-notebooks for doing some activities related to what is covered in class.

Physical Education
- In PE K-2 students continue to work on Teamwork. We will be working on throwing and catching over the next few weeks along with some fun challenges.
- In Grades 3-6 students are learning about the 5 components of fitness, including a plank challenge for Muscular Endurance, Conflict Resolution, and Staying Safe online, and in the Community. We will work on throwing activities along with some fun challenges over the next few weeks.
