- Include dialogue and characters’ thoughts and feelings in writing
- Write engaging beginnings to fiction stories

- Have students share their fiction writing with you.
Math
What are we learning?
- Show multiplication in a variety of ways including pictures, arrays, number lines, and equations
- Explore the relationship between multiplication and division
- Create and extend patterns in objects, numbers, and tables

- Discuss equal groups in real life experiences
- Describe how numbers can be divided equally in real life experiences
AAP Math
What are we learning?
- Fractions - understand that fractions are part of a whole. This includes part of a set, part of a group, part of a length
- Make and name these fraction parts of a whole - halves, thirds, fourths, sixths, eighths, tenths and twelfths
- Compare fractions having like and unlike denominators, using words (greater than, less than, equal to and not equal) and symbols (>, <, =, or ≠)
