Dave Ickowski is originally a native of Western New York but has lived in Northern Virginia since graduating from college and considers it to be home. Prior to beginning his educational career with Fairfax County Public Schools, he received his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Fredonia in Childhood Education. Upon graduating, he started teaching 4th grade at Churchill Road ES in McLean. While at Churchill Road ES, he obtained a master’s degree in Instructional Media through Wilkes University. Following his time at Churchill Road ES, he transitioned on to the position of Advanced Academic Resource Teacher at Dranesville ES in Herndon. While at Dranesville ES, he earned a master’s degree in Educational Leadership through George Mason University. He is passionate about supporting the academic, social, and emotional needs of each student at Terraset ES.
