Art

  • K-2 students  will draw animals in winter landscapes and explore patterns.
  • 3-6 students will learn about architecture and create artwork inspired by folk art traditions.

Music

Students are starting a new unit this week - “Marvelous Melodies.” We will be learning about how melodies move, how they have high and low pitches, and how they are written in music notation. We will also be singing a few winter songs!

Library

In Library this week, Kindergarten students will hear a story called Rhoda’s Rock Hunt and we will talk about story features.  Second grade students will be hearing a story called Fergus and Zeke and we will be talking about characters.

LTC

In LTC/Spanish students continue to work on their projects.

Physical Education

  • In PE K-2 students continue to work on Teamwork.  We will be working on throwing and catching over the next few weeks along with some fun challenges.
  • In Grades 3-6 students are learning about the 5 components of fitness, including a plank challenge for Muscular Endurance, Conflict Resolution, and Staying Safe online, and in the Community. We will work on throwing activities along with some fun challenges over the next few weeks.
