Art

  • Keep on the lookout for information on materials distribution. We have some grade-specific art materials coming soon. We will be using modeling clay in K-3, textiles in 4th and 5th and watercolors in 6th. Once they are all in we will announce the distribution plan.

Music

  • In music this week we are starting our new unit “Improvisation and Science of Sound.”
    • K - 2nd: We will improvise using our voices and bodies. We will also learn the basics of how sound works.
    • 3rd - 6th: We will learn about improvising by listening to some jazz-greats. We will try improvising using our voices, bodies and instruments (recorders/virtual recorders or found instruments around the house). Week 2 we will focus on the science of sound and how different instruments work.

LTC

In LTC we finished PROJECT PER GRADE LEVEL. All students received in 2nd quarter the link to their Spanish E notebook per grade level. Students can still use each doc to review/work what we covered during class. We will be reviewing this week some of those concepts learned in Spanish and we will practice them through different activities. New Third quarter project will be introduced next 2 weeks.

Physical Education

  • In PE K-2 students continue to work on Teamwork.  We will be working on throwing and catching over the next few weeks along with some fun challenges.
  • In Grades 3-6 students are learning about the 5 components of fitness, including a plank challenge for Muscular Endurance, Conflict Resolution, and Staying Safe online, and in the Community. We will work on throwing activities along with some fun challenges over the next few weeks.
