- See if you can find any patterns around the house, in your neighborhood, or outside. Discuss if it is a repeating pattern (ABABAB) or a growing pattern (ABAABAAAB).

- Discuss what happens to plants and animals when the weather gets colder. What happens to the trees? What do you notice squirrels are doing?

- Try to incorporate voting into something already happening at your house. Some examples would include voting on a movie, dinner, or a book to read before bed.
Important Dates & Reminders
- Conferences will be held the week of November 1st, please refer to your students email from their teacher for more information on how to sign up!
- Book Character Day: Terraset will celebrate “Storybook Character Day” on Friday, October 29th. Please remind students that all costume components should be school-appropriate. Props should not distract from the day’s learning.
- Early Release: Friday October 29th, 2021 students will be released 2 hours early at 2:05pm
- Teacher Work Days: November 1st and November 2nd students do NOT have school
- Veteran’s Day Early Release: Thursday, November 11th students will be released 2 hours early at 2:05pm

- Find the Feelings- Proud, kind, and friendly are this week’s feelings. Build your child’s emotional vocabulary and awareness by:
- Noticing facial expressions and sounds that match these feelings. “Dad’s face is saying he is feeling proud of your generosity.” “That salesperson was friendly with her cheerful voice.”
- Talk about when you have these feelings and how to express them. “I like to do kind things and not tell anyone. Today, I took in Mr. Tobin’s garbage can. I bet he will feel happy.”
