Art

  • Kindergarten artists are doing more experimenting with painting, printmaking and collage.
  • First graders are making cherry blossom prints and sculpting ceramic pinch pots. The students that have completed their pinch pots will be “glazing” them soon.
  • Second graders are making and glazing pinch pot birds.
  • Third graders are finishing their ceramic animals, and will glaze soon.
  • Fourth grade artists are finishing their coil pots and will continue to work on stitchery.
  • Fifth grade artists are making clay gargoyles and doing weaving on looms.
  • Sixth grade artists are making paper mache sculptures.

Many of these activities are messy, please make sure your student is not wearing their best clothing on their art day. We have smocks, but still best to wear washable clothing to art.

LTC

In LTC, Second and third grade students will be working on their LAPBOOKS parts. These weeks we will learn, practice and apply what we learn in class by organizing our first page.

4 METEOROLOGIST DREAM (they will be using peardeck for checking and practicing the first part of our project before we start working  in Electronic Spanish notebook)

5 Animals in ocean ( animals habitats in the ocean in Spanish: sentences and vocabulary structures)

6 Eco friendly school (we have reviewed the WH  questions in Spanish and got these concepts ready for our project. We are starting to focus in our daily contribution in our planet and how we can help ourselves and others in our daily school environment)
