All grades will be doing some painting in the next few weeks. We have smocks available, but please make sure your students are not in their best clothing on art days.

New helpers will be chosen for this quarter. Responsibility rolls over from 2nd to 3rd Q helpers. Routines and class behavior/ consequences  review.

Guidance

This is Orange week.  Grades K - 1 will continue with Kimochi lessons.  Grade 3 will continue with part 2 of Manners and Grades 4 - 6 will continue with the Sexual Harassment lesson triad.

The Fish Bowl- Kindergarten, 1st & 2nd grades

Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grades read the book Snowflake Bentley, a narrative nonfiction story about the man who first photographed snowflakes.  Each class completed a lesson adapted for their grade level.  Students identified the main topic and supporting details and learned some scientific facts about snowflakes.  The second graders completed a Jacob’s Ladder activity which is a series of questions increasing in complexity of thought as children move up the ladder.

PE

We are finishing up basketball. We will be doing two weeks of fitness and movement and then we will start volleyball!
