We are staring our realistic fiction unit.

What are we learning?
- We are learning how to read, write, and identify fractions.
- We are learning to represent fractional parts with models.
Home/School Connection
- As you go shopping, have your student find fractions in sets (juice boxes, fruit packages).
Science
What are we learning?
We are continuing our unit on Matter. Students will be able to:
- Students have been learning about matter. There are 3 states of matter; liquid, solid and gas.
-
-students will understand that matter has mass and takes up space.
-solids, liquids, and gasses have different characteristics.
-heating and cooling can change the phases of matter.
Social Studies
What are we learning?
- The student will compare the ideas and contributions of explorers Christopher Columbus and Christopher Newport and the impact on our world today
